The big day is coming! This week at lessons students video recorded their pieces and we evaluated them together as individual student and teacher to check and see where they were at and if they were ready for the recital. It was a good learning experience overall. Videotaping or audio recording is always a good way to check yourself and see how you are doing. A lot of times when we play, we don't realize a lot of what might be missing or mistakes that are made. It isn't until we step out of the box and listen that we really see/hear.
